The Loudoun County Deputy Sheriff’s Association (LCDSA) will be hosting their Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament, on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Raspberry Falls Golf & Hunt Club (41601 Raspberry Drive, Leesburg VA).
Located in Leesburg, Virginia, Raspberry Falls Golf & Hunt Club, is a spectacular course with all the marks of what makes for an exceptional round of golf. As you encounter rambling streams, bunkers, stone walls, and spectacular rolling terrain, you're almost going to feel that you've traveled across the Atlantic to play golf in the British Isles. And yet you are in Virginia's horse country, with vistas of the Catoctin Mountains in the background.
The course was built in 1996, laid out by Gary Player Design, opening that same year to quickly become one of the most popular daily-fee courses in the Washington DC Area. Player used a links style in designing Raspberry Falls, an elegant way to make use of the dramatic rolling terrain, meandering streams and spectacular scenery. With elevated tee boxes and lush bentgrass greens, as well. You will find that one of the biggest tests of your golfing skills is conquering the deep Scottish-style stacked pot bunkers. From the beginning, Raspberry Falls has been showered with awards, including being named one of the Top 10 Courses in Virginia. Golf Digest has previously named Raspberry Falls one of the Top 20 public or private courses in Virginia, Top 50 in customer service in the United States, and has given it a 4 Star "Places to Play" rating. Golf Monthly has rated it as a Top 10 in the Mid-Atlantic.
